Cookies
Some of our web pages use cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies help make our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain in your device’s memory until you delete them. These cookies make it possible to recognize your browser when you next visit the site.

Alternatively, your browser can be configured to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions or to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
Cookies which are necessary to allow electronic communications or to provide certain functions you wish to use (such as the shopping cart) are stored pursuant to Art. 6 paragraph 1, letter f of DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure an optimized service provided free of technical errors. If other cookies (such as those used to analyze your surfing behavior) are also stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
- IP address
These data will not be combined with data from other sources.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.

We will continue to store the data collected during registration for as long as you remain registered on our website. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
5. Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google Analytics cookies are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.
IP anonymization
We have activated the IP anonymization feature on this website. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services regarding website activity and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.
Browser plugin
You can prevent these cookies being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we wish to point out that doing so may mean you will not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
Objecting to the collection of data
You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this site: Disable Google Analytics.
For more information about how Google Analytics handles user data, see Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en
Outsourced data processing
We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Demographic data collection by Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics’ demographic features. This allows reports to be generated containing statements about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and third-party visitor data. This collected data cannot be attributed to any specific individual person. You can disable this feature at any time by adjusting the ads settings in your Google account or you can forbid the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section “Refusal of data collection”.
Google reCAPTCHA
We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on our websites. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
reCAPTCHA is used to check whether the data entered on our website (such as on a contact form) has been entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to Google.
The reCAPTCHA analyses take place completely in the background. Website visitors are not advised that such an analysis is taking place.
Data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its site from abusive automated crawling and spam.
For more information about Google reCAPTCHA and Google’s privacy policy, please visit the following links: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.html
6. Newsletter
Newsletter data
If you would like to receive our newsletter, we require a valid email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive this newsletter. No additional data is collected or is only collected on a voluntary basis. We only use this data to send the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
We will, therefore, process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO. You can revoke consent to the storage of your data and email address as well as their use for sending the newsletter at any time, e.g. through the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.
The data provided when registering for the newsletter will be used to distribute the newsletter until you cancel your subscription when said data will be deleted. Data we have stored for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members area) remain unaffected.
7. Plugins and tools
YouTube
Our website uses plugins from YouTube, which is operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.
If you visit one of our pages featuring a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. Here the YouTube server is informed about which of our pages you have visited.
If you’re logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube allows you to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
YouTube is used to help make our website appealing. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.
Further information about handling user data, can be found in the data protection declaration of YouTube under https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy
Google Web Fonts
For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web fonts is done in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our website. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.
Further information about handling user data, can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
Google Maps
This site uses the Google Maps map service via an API. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
To use Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer.
The use of Google Maps is in the interest of making our website appealing and to facilitate the location of places specified by us on the website. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.
Further information about handling user data, can be found in the data protection declaration of Google at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
8. Privacy policy for job application
The privacy policy for job application can be found here.
9. Facebook
We refer to our offered social media appearances with links. Unlike social media plugins, links do not cause the social media platform to learn about your visit when you access our site. However, like any link, they will result in your data being processed by the social media platform as soon as you click the link. The social media platform will typically store cookies on your device or even save your usage behavior to your account, especially if you are logged in yourself. The social media platform can analyze your user behavior with your data and use it for (interest-based) advertising. This can result in you being shown advertisements both within and outside the social media platform. Please consider whether you want to accept this and only use a social media platform if you have sufficiently informed yourself about the data processing there and agree with it (this is particularly true if you have not used it yourself until now). For more details, please refer to the privacy policies of the respective social networks:
https://de–de.facebook.com/privacy/policy/?entry_point=data_policy_redirect&entry=0
We link to the following social networks on our website:
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.,
4 Grand Canal Square,
Grand Canal Harbour,
Dublin 2, Ireland
When visiting our Facebook page, certain information about you is processed. The sole responsible party for this processing of personal data is Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. Further information about the processing of personal data by Facebook can be found at www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation. Facebook offers the possibility to object to certain data processing; relevant information and opt-out options can be found at www.facebook.com/settings.
Facebook provides us with anonymized statistics and insights for our Facebook page, which help us gain insights into the types of actions people take on our page (so-called “Page Insights”). These Page Insights are created based on certain information about individuals who have visited our page. This processing of personal data is carried out by Facebook and us as joint controllers. The processing serves our legitimate interest in evaluating the types of actions taken on our page and improving our page based on these insights. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We cannot associate the information obtained through Page Insights with individual Facebook profiles that interact with our Facebook page. We have entered into an agreement with Facebook regarding joint controller processing, which sets out the distribution of data protection obligations between us and Facebook. Details about the processing of personal data to create Page Insights and the agreement between us and Facebook can be found at www.facebook.com/legal/terms/information_about_page_insights_data. Regarding these data processing activities, you have the option to assert your data subject rights (see “Your Rights”) against Facebook as well. Further information can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy at www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.
Please note that according to Facebook’s privacy policy, user data may also be processed in the USA or other third countries. Facebook only transfers user data to countries for which there is an adequacy decision by the European Commission under Art. 45 GDPR or based on appropriate safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR.
We also process information that you have provided to us through our company page on the respective social media platform. Such information may include the username used, contact details, or a message to us. These processes are carried out by us as the sole controller. We process this data based on our legitimate interest in contacting requesting individuals.
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Further data processing may occur if you have consented (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if it is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR).
Through our social media appearances, we offer a forum to discuss, exchange opinions, or comment on our activities. Unfortunately, this also leads to users of the social network posting inappropriate content, insulting other users, or making false claims. To protect the personal rights of other users or to safeguard our interests, we delete such posts whenever possible.
Additionally, we store information about a deleted post and the person responsible for it in a database. This serves to provide evidence of the content of the post and the person responsible in case of legal proceedings due to the deletion or another violation of rights. This processing serves our legitimate interest in protecting the rights of other users and our interests and is based on the legal basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. These processes are carried out by us as the sole controller.
10. Provision of the Online Offer
For the provision of our online offer, we use an external service provider: Perspective Software GmbH, Mailbox 659770, D-96035 Bamberg (hereinafter “Perspective”). Perspective itself stores your data exclusively on European servers. However, it is possible that your data may be accessible to facilities in the United States of America, as Perspective uses subprocessors based in the USA. Since the European Union Commission has determined that the data protection laws of the United States do not ensure an adequate level of protection for personal data collected from data subjects in the European Union, Perspective provides additional measures and guarantees for data transmission to the United States in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR to ensure an adequate level of protection. For example, by concluding standard contractual clauses between Perspective and the subprocessors.
I. Description and Scope of Data Processing
Perspective processes your data for us so that we can provide you with our online services. For this purpose, Perspective automatically transmits your IP address to deliver the content and functions of our online services to your browser or device.
The following data may be collected:
- Information about the browser type and version used
- The operating system of your computer
- The internet service provider you use
- The IP address of your device
- Date and time of your access to the funnel
- Websites from which you came to our website (“Referrer”)
II. Legal Basis for Data Processing
Perspective stores the data mentioned under I. in so-called log files.
This is done to ensure:
- The guarantee of a smooth connection setup of the website
- The guarantee of a comfortable use of our website
- The evaluation of system security and stability
- Further administrative purposes
The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is also necessary to enable the delivery of the website to your computer. For this purpose, the IP address of your computer must be stored for the duration of the session.
These purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in data processing. The legal basis for data processing is thus Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
III. Duration of Processing
The personal data processed by Perspective will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose of their collection:
In the case of data collection for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session is ended.
In the case of storing the IP address in log files, this is the case after a maximum of 7 days.
IV. Data Subject Rights
You have the right to obtain information about the origin, recipients, and purpose of your stored personal data at any time free of charge. You also have the right to request the correction, blocking, or deletion of this data. For this purpose, as well as for further questions on the topic of data protection, you can contact us at any time at the address provided in the imprint. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in case of violations of the GDPR.
Since data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation. If you object, we will no longer process your affected personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims (objection under Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR). Since the collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of data in log files is essential for the operation of our website, there is usually no possibility for you to object.
You also have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. The right to restrict processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
- If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend, or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
- If you have lodged an objection under Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balance must be made between your and our interests. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data may – apart from their storage – only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a member state.
Contact and Request Management
For the provision of contact, inquiry, or application forms, we use an external service provider: Perspective Software GmbH, Mailbox 659770, D-96035 Bamberg (hereinafter “Perspective”).
When using Perspective’s contact, inquiry, or application forms, the following data will be transmitted to Perspective’s servers:
- Date and time of access
- Websites from which you came to our website (“Referrer”)
- Context information (e.g., button clicks on the pages, selections made on the pages)
- Contents of all filled text fields (e.g., contact details such as your name or address, or other personal data, depending on the specific question in the text field) files uploaded by you
II. Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing
The purpose of this data processing is to ensure the communication initiated by you.
The processing of your data from contact, inquiry, or application forms is therefore initially based on your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. If a contract is initiated via an inquiry form, the legal basis is also Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR. The legal basis for processing data in an application form can, in addition to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, also be Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with § 26 BDSG.
III. Duration of Processing
Your personal data will be retained as long as necessary to fulfill the processing purpose or until you revoke your consent. Exceptions to this principle are data that Perspective must retain due to legal obligations. These include, for example, commercial and tax retention obligations. These retention periods currently amount to up to ten years.
You can revoke your consent to data processing at any time by informal notification to us (e.g., by email). The revocation does not affect the legality of the processing carried out based on the consent until the revocation.
