Lower Bavaria Launches Initiative for AI Excellence: DE group as a Driving Force from the Start

With the launch of the Ecosystem Smart Niederbayern, the region is positioning itself as a future hotspot for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Germany. The initiative aims to create a strong innovation ecosystem, comparable to Silicon Valley, through the close networking of companies, research institutions, and public administration.

The Lower Bavaria region, traditionally strong in the automotive and mechanical engineering sectors, is proactively addressing the challenges of digital transformation. The initiative is particularly intended to pave the way for small and medium-sized enterprises into an AI-supported future and to accelerate the transition from a vision to an economic reality.

As a founding member and active shaper, the DE group has been significantly involved from the beginning. With an inspiring kick-off lecture, the group underscored its pioneering role and commitment to the AI location of Lower Bavaria. The DE group will continue to play a central role in promoting ideas and expanding horizons to achieve the ambitious goals of the ecosystem.

The initiators and participants are enthusiastic and determined to establish Lower Bavaria as a leading AI hub and to actively shape the digital future.
