Industry of Things reports on the optimization of human-machine collaboration in Industry 4.0 and 5.0

Collaboration between human and machine

DE software & control GmbH offers innovative solutions to improve human-machine collaboration in the industrial sector. The focus is on the individual provision of information at the workplace through intelligent worker assistance systems. These systems offer not only classic functions but also personalized knowledge transfer via AI chatbots and access to company-specific knowledge.

In Industry 4.0, production is digitized and automated through the networking of humans and machines, with an emphasis on physical work. The concept of Industry 5.0, on the other hand, shifts this focus to intelligent collaboration and its optimization. “Knowledge and information become the central factor,” emphasizes Friedrich Steininger, Managing Director of DE software & control GmbH. However, he warns of the loss of valuable knowledge due to the shortage of skilled workers and demographic changes, as this knowledge is often not documented.

Another problem is that employees often work with outdated or incorrect work instructions, leading to inefficient processes. “Such problems are rarely reported back to work preparation, as this is too cumbersome in classic manufacturing,” explains Steininger. The creation and updating of work instructions are also complex and time-consuming.

DE software & control GmbH is committed to overcoming these challenges through intelligent assistance systems and sustainably optimizing human-machine collaboration.
