On April 8th and 9th, 2025, our two-day event “Let’s build the future together” took place at TZ Puls in Dingolfing, offering numerous exciting insights and lively exchanges among participants from various companies and institutions.
Day 1: Intergenerational collaboration and circular production
The first day was all about the collaboration of different generations in the labor market. The focus was on the BoomerZ concept, which demonstrates how different age groups can learn from each other through their respective strengths and develop new perspectives together. A special highlight was the live demonstration of an innovative video processing pipeline, showing how knowledge can be documented and shared using modern technologies.
This was followed by an inspiring lecture on circular production and the circular economy. It became clear that while Germany is a leader in recycling, there is still potential in proactive planning and production in terms of circularity. In line with this, a research proposal for a project in this area was submitted in collaboration with a university.
A tour of the TZ Puls research facility rounded off the day. A patented production cell, which also runs an innovative assistance system from DE group, was particularly interesting.
The day ended in a relaxed atmosphere with a joint dinner at an Italian restaurant. Here, the exchange was deepened further, and possible collaborations were discussed.
Day 2: Digitalization, Vision-as-a-Service, and new assistance systems
The second day started with a report on digitalization projects. The key insight: such initiatives often fail not due to a lack of willingness but due to insufficient resources and budgets.
Following this, the Vision-as-a-Service concept was presented, characterized by comprehensive customer support from the initial idea to ongoing operations. The goal is to actively participate in all processes and identify and implement optimization potentials early on.
The event concluded with a deep dive into the functions of the new worker assistance system workstAItion 5.0. The work instruction created the previous day was presented, the system’s multilingualism demonstrated, and various application possibilities discussed. A concrete application for one of the participants emerged directly, which was particularly pleasing.
Positive Feedback and Outlook
After the event, guests were asked for feedback. The responses were consistently positive:
- The BoomerZ concept is a great way to secure valuable ‘know-how’ of employees with the technical means of the current time.
- An interesting event with smart ideas and lots of nice people.
- Impressive how DE group has linked and further developed the worker assistance system with AI.
- The well-prepared event was very informative and educational, making it an absolute added value for me in every way.
- The event left a very good overall impression. The atmosphere was very good, the exchange with other companies was always present, and everything could be openly discussed. It was not a classic sales event but a collaboration. The potentials in the industrial environment were made clear through chatbot and AI and provide further room for developments.
The intensive dialogue among the guests, leading to real discussions and interactions in the workshops, was a very positive aspect.
The event impressively showed that the current developments and the direction taken by DE group are in tune with the times and offer great potential for the future.
